Every so often I have to do one of these posts to validate that I don't just collect, but do actually use some of my grills.
On tonights menu was
1) chicken wings and thighs. Some basted on hoisin sauce, some in Sweet Baby Ray's brown sugar and hickory sauce, and some in Thai Sweet Chili sauce. I also seasoned the chicken with Weber's Kickin' Chicken seasoning and some cherry wood.
2) Sliced yellow potatoes sprinkled in Weber's Veggie Grill seasoning and olive oil
3) Portabello mushroom stuffed with the chopped stems and minced fresh garlic
Weapons of choice were
1) red stainless Performer with rotisserie extension and Ribolater
2) red Mastertouch with Lodge CI pan

Good lookin' eats....forget the fire, we're hangin' in the Weber man-cave.

How do you like the ribolator? Mine is coming on Tuesday with my cajun bandit rotisserie.

I'm hungry oh and I'm coming over to perve on the kettle cabin you've got there. Very nice!
-
Great cook! Nice to see the collection in action. I am envious of of the bulbs blooming and the sight of grass. I still have snow, but did have a fire in the pit today.
-
Great looking food and of course the grills. Jeff, is that a dark green SJG? Is the light green SJ a Ulime? Please post some closer shots of those.

"Every so often I have to do one of these posts to validate that I don't just collect, but

Thanks for that !!!
Once in awhile it almost seems like the food part gets left in the dust with the flurries of collecting activity.......
Dang nice lookin' cookup......... :)
One question for you & /or anyone who sees this: there was a guy on Smoke Ring who was having problems with his Rib-O-lator scraping the sides of the ring...he had a Weber ring, I believe....ever have any issues?
I think he got a Rib-O-lator or some other ring & solved it, but I still was wondering, for future reference......
-
Golly and myself both have the weber ring and rib-o-lator and have had no issues with it scraping
-
thanks, I think he figured out that the ring was a little out of round, but by that time the ribolator guy had him fixed up with their brand, or some adjustable trays....I think that's what happened.....it's an interesting problem to me, so just remembered it ;)
-
I did do two mods to my roti ring though
Gasket and turned the hole into a slot it makes it a lot easier to load the rib-o-lator
Great looking feed by the way
-
Fantastic cook!!!
-
Chicken looks great! I like the Weber room 8)

No problems with my Rib-o-lator scraping or rubbing the sides. You just have to get it centered just right. I'm going to do the mod that Hogsy mentioned. It's a real pain to get the whole thing loaded when there is a hole instead of a slot. I took the whole Roti ring in the house the other day and loaded the Rib-o-lator on the kitchen counter then did the dangerous dance of carrying the heavy and awkward roti ring with loaded rib-o-lator out to the grill. Could have been a disaster.

Shaun...yeah, one is a dark green SJG (thanks to Stu), and the other is the Uline Smokey. You have my C&B grass green Smokey. When I had them side by side, the Uline is a couple shades brighter than the C&B one.
I also added a picture with the lid from my 22" old Lime grill next to the Uline for comparison. It IS much brighter and lighter in color.

An extra thanks for posting that old lime by the Ulime Jeff. The ulime looked so bright until you put that old one next to it. Stu's the man! He passes on some nice scores. :D
By the way, I pimped your old C&B grass green. I will post it soon.

I can't find you anymore grills now...you're out of space, plus I don't want your wife to get anymore mad at you!

Oh I'll find space for that one...and troy's red one too!
