Yes got it for $40.00 bowl needs help. Rust thru but it is my first red!!! Frame and SS in good shape not an assist but have enough chimneys.[emoji12]

Yes they made gas assist and non GA SSPs. The non GA don't have caster wheels.

All tabs for charcoal grate gone 2 holes and pin holes where there is rust. That beauty is going to clean up really nice. Congrats, that's a total score.
What's your plan for the sagging ash catcher ring/bucket assembly?
There are many threads about the weak link in the SSP- the dreaded rusted out bar that holds the ash catcher ring in place.
Just an option for you, you can purchase a brand new ash bucket and ring. Seems pretty simple to clip right in from what I've read.

I was able to set a few hours aside on this beautiful day to bring my new Red SSP back to its former glory. After an entire pack of steel wool, new ash assembly, modified gas assist, old one touch removal (had to get out the power tools) and plenty of elbow grease she is all ready to get cooking! I took some pics of the final product.

Getting around to it. Inspired by a blue ssp. Work in progress. Converted a silver bowl with Brackets I got from Marty red bowl that came with is in bad shape. Have option with black lid also.

Looks awesome. With tires like that, it would probably float upright if it ever got nudged into the pool, which is very likely down in OZ. Right @Golly ? It's the world's first Golly-Q!
