Hi all, new to the forum. About to order a new performer deluxe & was wondering what color everyone else would get.

Order?  LOL.  I'd check craigslist for a good conditioned used one for a quarter of the price!

If I was going to buy a brand new Performer, I would want to see the C&B blue, in person, before deciding between that and the copper. I currently have a copper one  ;D

No craigslist up here in Canada, would have to get used one shipped from U.S. Went on the weber site & it only seem they offer black, copper or green.

Where are you? Just because the Weber site has those colours does not mean you can find them to buy at a store. Most stores only stock Black. There are a couple places in Toronto that you may be able to find one.

The Green is a "special order" item....if you want new and can get one of those that's what I'd do.

I'd go copper all day long, but it really depends on what your favorite color is.

I'm in Saskatchewan. I can order the copper online from Home Depot or they stock the black. Shipping from Toronto would be very costly.

Isn't kijji like a Canadian Craigslist?

If I was going new, the C&B blue would be my hands down first pick. No question.

There won't be one every day. Takes a little patience. Small price to pay, to not have the taco handle.

The Copper is cool. It took me adding Cocobolo Rosewood handles to convince me but I like it. Mine also is a 2014 with no silly hand guard "taco" handle so she has that going for her. Those new style handles are the ruination of a classic look....absolutely hate the damn friggin' things. Do you ever make it down to the States? Got any friends just over the border? If it were me I'd hold out for an older model in sweet condition. Maybe get a used non taco to tide you over. There is this:

http://www.kijiji.ca/v-bbq-outdoor-cooking/saskatoon/weber-keetle-charcoal-barbeque-bbq-with-extras/1116775261?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true

Order an ash catcher, retrofit to turn it into a OTG. Then hold out for a sweet coloured Performer. Black is beautiful and non taco is the way to go.

I never make it to the States & do not know anyone close to the border. I don't mind spending the money on a new one, I could just feed the taco to my dog, he eats anything.

RED- oh damn....haven't had red in quite some time.  I don't understand why they don't offer red.  Red is in so many team colors.  Although I think I read somewhere on here it has to do with the chemicals, compounds or metals requires to make red kettles being hard to find or something like that.

For my vote, I cast mine for the Crate & Barrel Grass Green Performer Deluxe  ...  bet ya didn't see that coming, did ya ;D  ;D

Course, given your burning desire to purchase new, it's gotta be the C&B Blue (it's almost seems like it's cobalt).                              SJ

This is all very interesting, but how would we know what color you would like to grill on? There are guys on here that have built stables (herds, lines, etc.) of all black grills. It's gonna be your cooker, get what you want, man! They all cook good food.

I never realized that our neighbors to the north were so CL limited, or else I would recommend the color "SS" as the starting point for a Performer. For the bowl? I'm with HFG, one of each. I don't have any of the current colors at all, I only have black and a couple discontinued colors.

Recently got myself a crimson as my second daily driver.  It looks awesome in the sun!

I am stuck ordering from Home Depot (I have $300 in gift cards to use). Called them yesterday & they tell me all I can get for color is Copper, Green, Black or Crimson. No Blue😡. So I will flip a coin for Green or Copper. Thanks for everyone's input... Great forum & members.

According to the 2016 catalogue the performer is only available in black, copper and green
In the states. Same for 22.5 OTG. every other charcoal grill is listed black only!!!
What's up with that!! No more crimson? Smokey Joe black only?
If you want a colorful Weber you will have to buy a Q

The copper has more personality than the green.  You guys do know that the taco can be removed don't you?  If you really don't like it, just take it off.  I actually think it performs very well, it does deflect the heat.  I left mine on and frankly I can't be happier.......My copper performer is my absolute number one.....

I'm happy for you that you got the one you wanted, That grill might be the best grill Weber ever made.  I love mine.  I added the adaptor hose from the Weber Q so I have a 20 lb propane tank.   You will get many great years of use out of that.  Of course I would add a sweet custom Wood handle..... but that's me :^)
