Title: Black OTG Buckets
Post by: G$ on July 15, 2012, 07:48:39 AM
What years did weber ship OTGs and Performers with the black ash bucket as OEM?

Bonus points if you an answer "why on earth would they do such a thing?"

i know 2004 was silver.

i prefer the black ones, glad i got all my OTG conversions done before the black ones went away.

2007 or 2008-2011. My neighbor has a 2006 OTG that has the silver bucket. The black cans look fine on the black kettles i guess, but when it comes to red, blue, green, sage, brick red (non black) i like the silver cans. I entertained the thought of painting mine red to match my red kettle, but I fear that the paint would scratch off from use or flake off from heat.
