This unique design allows the end plates to have a hinge on one side and a latch on the other. The end plates are Type 304 stainless steel and are .048” - .050” thick. These will not bend or rust (stainless food grade material). The basket is Type 304 Stainless Steel 1/8” diameter wire to protect against weathering. The basket measures 7" diameter x 16” long with a 14" cooking space +/- .060” (1" over hang on each side). Material and Labor are 100% U.S.A made. Fits spit rods  5/16” &  3/8” square or 3/8” &  ½” hexagon  please specify when ordering. Enjoy!

Looks kewl but for $50 +shi, I don't want to be the first to try it 8)

I don't have one of these, but I've always like the idea and concept. I'm not really sure if they work well or not? Does anyone else have one of these? I would be interested in knowing how well they actually work.

(I agree, $50 seems a bit much for this)
