Thanks - as mentioned, this is the "before restoration" picture.  The previous owner kept it covered and in good shape.  It is currently disassembled and all parts are going though a restore.  Hoping to get reasonably close to the quality of @56MPG and @SixZeroFour restorations (a very difficult bar to match)

Looking great Winz! I'll try to track down some roti info on my end but in the meantime are you able to get a measurement on the cookbox left to right? The spit should be the only tricky bit to source but you could surely fab something up if there aren't any floating  around anymore.

The measurement of the cook box left to right is 18 3/4"

Thanks for the help!

Damn that’s awesome!
I wouldn’t think it would be too hard to buy a “universal” spit rod and cut it down?

The only hiccup here is that Weber likes to make their rotisserie spits proprietary so that you cannot use generic rotisserie parts that are used on almost every other brand of BBQ. I think your best bet would be to find a shorter spit that is roughly the correct length (SS if at all possible - many are plated and the coating will flake off if cut etc.) and then have a machine shop machine the spit down at the two spots where it passes through the cookbox.

The closest match direct from Weber would be the spit from the #7652 Gen II Roti Kit which is going to be about an inch and a half too long overall. With this spit you SHOULD only have to machine the one side down as the motor side will already be machined down and in the correct location.

Hope this makes sense! I can snap some pics to show you what I mean if my description is hard to visualize...

@Winz  I use a 1/4" square-bar roti with a separate bearing thingy that fits over the bar and tightens with a screw. I did have to enlarge the opening on the non-motor end of the box just a bit and round it to fit the bearing, but it works great. FYI - the length of the bar with handle is 30". From the end of the bar to the center of the bearing surface is 23"
