Pretty sure it is the bottom one, but looks upside down.

They both look the same to me. But the top one is upside down and bent out of shape.

Sounds right to me. Whoever installed it probably put it in upside down and bent it to fit.

Well, anyway, I have the two and don't need either one. Free to anyone who wants to come get them.

For those interested in the bars, unless you're absolutely set on using original parts, I'd highly recommend using the aluminum strip and pop rivet method of reattaching the ash ring. It provides a more sturdy connection and is easy to do.

Ditto...aluminum rivets for the ring and fab a replacement bar from aluminum stock bar at hdepot

@haeffb Thats the way I did on my 2nd SSP.  I broke off the tabs on the new ash ring, drilled (SLOWLY) into the strap and used SS self Taping screws.  ON the other bowl, I just drilled, a little auto touch up paint and used SS Pop rivets to attach the ring to the leg supports.

Yes, rivets provide a very tight ring fit!  The OTP I am RRRing right now has the snap into the leg sockets type ring.  Its a bit wonky so I may just Rivet it in place as well.

Grill on Bros... Grill on...

Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...
