Is this compatible with a Performer Touch-N-GO model 821001 manufactured around 1996?  If so, yes, I'm interested.

There's either a bar or there isn't......it wasn't redesigned by Weber, so yes, it's made to fit................

I believe his are aluminum which won't rust out  like the originals, also.............

Send a PM to be sure of all this......

It depends on the thickness. The original bars were .100" and the 7444 washer is .060". You can squeeze it in there but it will bind unless you use a 7409 ash sweep. Ymmv

someone should engineer one that works with the new sweep.
or engineer a method to hold the old style ash ring on without the 7409.

LOL! Very nice drawing PBE. If the bracket support was brought out to attach where your 7409 arrow is, there should be enough throw for the sweep? That would help support the .060 bar, but then there needs to "H" cut in the bracket...

I think so, the throw is 120 degree max (between two legs only) and that support design allows close to 180 degrees. I totally forgot about the "H" cutout lol. back to the drawing board!

And production starts when? I did not realize your bracket allowed for enough sweep motion. The support will help, for us that forget to remove the pan after the cook.

Maybe I haven't had enough coffee yet this morning and not thinking straight, but you wouldn't WANT an "H" cutout in the bracket, would you?

LOL Dale, plus I believe it is a little frosty up in GR this morning. It needs the mimic the H washer of the new style sweep. Just all combined in the bracket, then no need for searching for a 7409 sweep.

But won't that lock the sweep blades to the bracket.. meaning that either the blades won't spin or (with enough force) the bracket will spin?
Okay now I'm going back for another re-fill!  :D
