Looking for a spare wheel for a kettle
« on: March 14, 2019, 02:07:25 PM »
So I picked up a free kettle but it's missing a wheel. I was wondering if anybody in the NW Chicago suburbs had one they could part with. Drop me a line if you have one and we'll work something out. Thanks!

I have spares I can drop in the mail.  They’re all missing the plastic Weber insert though.

I'm NW side right near O'Hare & probably could scrounge you a freebie, but it might not necessarily be pretty.

I'm looking for a 6" and an ugly one would do fine. This is either going to be a project or a giveaway kettle. It has a oval lid and some scuff marks so I'm guess it was knocked over and they decided to get rid of it rather than fix it. It's really not in too bad of shape. It'll defimitely live to grill again this summer!

@avega2792 IF the 6 is the larger wheels used on some carts, the 26 & maybe some premium kettles, I doubt I have a spare of the larger wheels.

I should have a spare regular sized ones used on most regular kettles if that is what you are looking for.  If it is going to be a giveaway or project, you could probably use a PAIR (I mostly likely have at least a spare pair), but you might have to cut the third leg down a bit to get everything even again.

I pretty much know I do.  I have a project kettle that the wheels will not be needed, plus I bought 4 at a flea market for $0.25 each, just in case I ever needed them.  I'll have a freebie pair for you.  I'll pm you.

Hal
