Late 1960's Mothership for sale
« on: November 08, 2017, 05:26:22 AM »
For Sale - Late 1960's Mothership. $650

 I am the third owner.

Grill:

Original grates are in really nice shape

Steel wheels with plastic tread.  These same type of wheels were used on the some of the later Westerners

Vents - all vents are in nice shape

Missing bowl handle. I have the original bowl handle(s). It was passed to me by the previous owner. They can be spot welded back on the bowl

Broken head of thumbscrew. It will have to be drilled out with a tap.

Faded but overall in really cool vintage shape.  I get a lot of questions and compliments.

Transportation - if you need help. I will hold the grill for a month while you arrange transportation   HOWEVER, I will require payment up front as a commitment

More pics will be uploaded this afternoon/evening.

Looks nice, Stephen. Hey while you're here, someone was recently asking about mothership legs. Are they in fact the same 1" diameter as the other kettles use?
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

No, they have a larger diameter. I had to order a new white leg cap.  I will have to check the exact size.  They are either 1.25" or 1.50".

Larry, a trip down to Hotlanta is needed, 'er maybe we have an agent send to @zavod44 house then get @No1Agent to drive to my house then I can hold it.  :)

either way, you NEED this grill.

The more the merrier at my house.  We are planning a local move and this wont make the move.  If I don't sell it will go to a family member
