@randy do you know Matt Vanderwest?  He may have something for you.
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

Iíve got a couple of people to thank for getting this to me.
@chiku18 for offering the pk to me and putting it in @rub hands. @rub then trucked it to Tennessee and back to Atlanta and handed if off to @JEBIV. Joe then packed her up and shipped it up to me in Toledo. I canít say thanks enough to all of you that were involved.

For anyone interested in vintage PK's there is a guy in Little Rock AR that posts infrequently on the PK users facebook page that I have gotten 2 vintage Classics and a Junior from. He's offered some great specimens in the past and they do not last long when offered. Straight shooter, communicative and excellent shipping.

Congrats on the clam!

Just a heads up FYI for those on the hunt for the vintage "Classic" clam shell grills.

There is really no database or definitive guide to dating a lot of these old grills. PK Grills inc, is pretty much useless when it comes to dated information and there really are not many "experts" in the FB group. YES it has their diehard fans and collectors but sourcing some parts can be a PITA.

Case in point-I've personally seen 3 different Classic bases that look the same, but have different cook grate supports and are smaller than the "new" Classic. So when it comes time to order a replacement cook grate from PK, you are truly disappointed to find out it won't fit your "vintage" Classic. Custom grates/Grill Grates or cut and weld the replacements are your options. Vintage cart parts also differ in size with the newer PK's.

That said: I'm always in the market for any of the "lunchbox" style PK's, Club or Patio Pal with round vents! With or w/o cart. Lotsa RED 18's & 22's to trade or $$!

Iím on my third cook in the Pk, first cook was 1/3 pound hamburgers brats and dogs. Second was steaks, today is ribs. She does high and hot with no problem, itís a steak cooking machine. Low and slow with no air leaks and sips the charcoal, been running on 2/3 of a chimney of kbb almost 5 hours @250į now. The only downfall is the lack of a ash catching system, gonna grab a galvanized bucket on the next trip to the Home Depot to solve that.

Is it a new PK or a ďclassicĒ?  Iíve always been intrigued by these but Iíve never seen one in person.

Just picked up this PK today. Thinking itís from mid 60ís. Interesting cast iron charcoal grate with instructions cast into it. Have not seen these type of PK charcoal grates before and canít find any info on it. Since this is a Weber forum I also picked up a Weber Genesis with Rotisserie 10 minutes away from the PK. I forgot the side prep table just sits on the frame and did not tie it down so now Iím on the hunt for a Genesis Silver replacement side table if anyone has one to sell. Thanks for the info @swamprb.
