Hello from MN!

Hello from Minnesota!

I've had a couple of 22-inch kettles for a few years now. Nothing fancy, just the basic models. I've learned how to control temps and use a Slow n' Sear for smoking with great success! A couple of years ago I picked up a pellet smoker to do overnight cooks and as a result, I've neglected my kettles. After doing some reading online I found this forum and it's reignited my desire to fire one up again!

My hope is to expand my knowledge of cooking on my kettles and maybe find some useful mods to tinker with on one of them. My first mod search will be insulating for the frigid MN winters! I've never had a problem maintaining temps in the winter but I'd prefer to burn through less coals in the process :-)

Lindstrom. About 12 miles West of St. Croix Falls, WI. I've stopped at Thirsty Pagan in your area a few times when we take that way to/from Duluth!

Welcome from the Lou!! (STL).  I spent 6 years in Detroit Lakes MN.  Winter was indeed Frigid!!!   But Man.. the summers were spectacular!!!  Pull out those kettles and fire em' up!!!

Pull up a chair!!

Jeff
Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...
