Another new member from Kansas
« on: February 13, 2018, 07:11:29 AM »
Hey All!  I've soaked up the resto topic goodness and perused the wood handle info and then realized there were forums here too!  I registered and can't wait to dig into all the topics here in the forums.

I used to be a moderator on a Ford Mustang enthusiast site and I'm glad that forums still exist as opposed to just Facebook pages.

I have 9 kettles and I'm currently restoring our (one owner - been in the family since 73) 1973 Texan.  I've done minor cleaning on the bowl and lid and started the ash pan and the legs.  More on that in another post in the appropriate forum.

I look forward to learning from you all.
Cheers!
Brett

Cheers All and thanks for the welcome!  The Texan is coming along nicely although it will still be in "Weathered Warrior" fashion.  The legs, ash pan, vents and triangle are cleaning up well (legs especially) but the lid has seen better days.  It's a fun project.  I feel like I'm in good company here.

Cheers!
