I ended gluing the long top part of the handle on the bowl so it didn't spin.  On my 26, it's tight enough and it doesn't spin.  However it's kind of permanent, but hey....  Maybe I need to make a different handle for those grills.  I'll look into a better solution...

I finally got around to doing a mod to correct this issue. It's not a perfect fix, but should do the job.
I did not want the outer part to potentially spin and damage the handle over time.

I drilled two holes, 1½" from centre.
The initial hole was with a 9/64" bit, then 5/32", and finished with 11/64" bit.

I decided to use a nail. Cut it down to a little nub.

As was expected, the nail head creates a gap.

It truly pained me to carve a small recess into the solid oak handles supplied by Brian.  :-\ :-[ Hopefully I won't have to do this again.
I used a Dremel to do the carving, and smoothing.

Looks good, now!  :D

Nice mod, Mac. If you can keep a secret I've done the same thing to older kettle handles. ;)
