I gave it another try and finally got it right. I still think bama's look a lot better, but these were pretty tasty.

Thanks CM!

It was the harvest moon or the real great pumpkin. It came up orange even though it didn't come through orange in my picture. I was actually at the harvest festival today down the street. It was a nice way to top off the event.

The sauce I used is called Sarayo. You can find it online. It's my favorite condiment. I use it on everything. I take it over ketchup on my burgers now and over mustard on hot dogs. It's also the best on fish tacos. You won't regret getting it. I keep several bottles on hand. :)

Looks pretty darn good to me!  I like your fryer/wok set up.  I use an enamal pot on the smokey joe to fry.

very nice onion rings. I have that exact pan as yours and I hardly ever use it.

Enamel like the camping ones?

exactly: I use a pretty deep pot (stew pot?) and only put enough oil to fry in it so I don't have oil splashing onto the fire.  I cook in batches.

What kind of pan is that?
