Show us your Boneyard
« on: November 30, 2013, 10:39:12 AM »
I know many of you have a derelict depot / pickin' pile out back, and thought it would be fun to show them off. Now watch how many PMs we get with requests for some of the scraps! My current heap is mostly gasser-giblets. One man's junk...

Oh, and that ice-cream chair? Perfect size for a future funky SJ frankenstand.

You won't see mine posted here, if anyone wants to see it they can bring a wad of cash with them. That chair would be nice for a smokey, just bend the back down for use as a sidetable.

^I was thinking the same thing except I didn't take it to the chairback being bent as a table.  Genius!  I was thinking of using the chairback as a handle, add some front wheels and you'd have a mini Ranger.

Marty ... I find it hard to believe that you didn't remove that thermo from the gasser lid for something else.  ??? :-X ;D ;)

That thing is frozen solid. I'll work it out come Spring. And given how may writers we have among us, I should have used the term "Genesis giblets" in my description, the alliteration would have been more better.

That bone pile could feed a crowd

I think I can beat that. I have a pile of about 12 different kettles. I'll try and get a pic tonight when I get home.

I'd be abled to build replicas from about 3 or 4 decades worth of kettle variations from Duke's boneyard I'm sure. Just from description, its a tourist attraction that I want to see someday.  :)

I can tell you that I have "heard" the boneyard over the phone as he goes through it. It sounds like a boneyard.  ;)

Let's see if this worked.

These are my stripped bowls and lids. I'll get some pictures of the other stuff tomorrow.
