Can't wait to score one of these off of CL!

Wonder if I can order a cover for my homemade mini?

I've always had gas...  And now a bunch of kettles because of this place.  Thanks!

Very cool!

I'm curious to see how it performs compared to all of the homemade mini WSMs out there.

Out of the gate ... well, it is a Weber after all.  Curious ... that's all.  ;)
Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

Look at part number 14.  Typically I would guess this is the external heat shield /ash pan like on the 22 and recent 18s.  However in this schematicit is placed in a spot hat we might infer it goes internally?  I doubt it, but it did raise an eyebrow.

???

Weber MD

The John Deere sounds interesting.

The water pan looks deeper than mine. The second grate also looks bigger than the original, but smaller than the top grate. The top grate is probably SJ size, and the bottom is prob 18" charcoal grate size or old style JJ. Not that they also have handles.

Based upon the schematic, you're absolutely right. Perhaps, due to the smaller bowl, the ash pan is necessary to prevent ash from clogging and falling out of the bottom vents. It might be nice.

I saw that too. I think they will be using the same drop pan that the euro smokey joes come with. Any idea when these are due out?

Not sure when they will be out but i think the models in the past have been released October of the prior year.  That would be nice, but not holding my breath.

Mr. X may have mentioned October Shaun and G$...understand Duke?
Not everyone deserves to know the real you. Let them criticize who they think you are.

I actually think its just for ease of cleaning. Here is a pic of my bowl.
