Weber Grill Brush Recall

My recall brush showed up yesterday via FedEx.

Only one.....although I was very clear I had 3 brushes subject to the recall.

It is an 18" Weber Cold Cleaning brush. PN 3400714

It has red plastic bristles and is to be "Use(d) only on fully cool grates and grill surfaces".

Fairly disappointing, and a poor substitute for the recalled item.

That's brutal.
I will continue using my original Weber cleaning brush.
Never had any issues.

Still waiting on mine. They mentioned it was going to be a cold cleaning brush in the recall so I knew what was coming. I wonder how many are going to use it on a hot grill.

..... due to an ingestion hazard. Metal bristles can detach from the brush during use, adhere to grill grates or food, and be ingested. Ingested bristles may cause serious internal injury requiring medical treatment, including surgery.

I bought this.... Plastic brushes don't do much for me. Have not used it yet, but it looks pretty good.  We'll see.

Funny, you can still buy em off Weber over here on Amazon. I have one but don't really use it.



I tried the onion method for the first time tonight on my cast iron once hot which was pretty rusty and dirty, worked a treat. For cold cleaning I stick some marigolds on and use one of these. Gets everything off
