Had our yearly get together at my Mom's house with all my siblings and a few cousins.  I brought "Bud" to cook on and my '72 Texan for assistance with hot chimneys.  Started with two chimneys of B&B briquettes, spread the lit coals out and poured Jealous Devil XL lump on top.  Once all was lit I spread it all out and had to close the vents a bit to tame the fire which made a perfect shallow coal bed to cook on with cool zones around the sides.  I had 24 burgers on at once which went pretty fast and didn't have a lot of time for picture taking.  Then did 24 all beef hot dogs from Costco.  All in all a great cook and I got some much needed experience cooking on this grill.  No plating pics, was like usual - controlled chaos getting everyone a plate.  Can't wait for the next cook....

Cheers!

Awesome! Looks a great day. Can't go wrong with burgers n dogs.

I thought the 26 made my 22 feel small, the ranch is another level!

Thanks Tommie!  Agree, the ranch really feels large when cooking on it, thinking I may need longer tongs and spatula for the next large cook.  It's now all cleaned up and ready for the next adventure......

Looks like a lot of fun.  Do you have BBQ gloves?  I find myself having to use my Weber Premium Gloves more and more on my SSP so as not to burn my arms.

Great look! I have never used gloves. I usually get a guest to stand over the grill and tell him/her when to flip them also have another hand on the side to get a beer out of the cooler. :)
All kidding aside, outstanding job!

Great cook.  Even with all that food, Bud barely looks half full.
