New to this weber thing
« on: May 11, 2024, 06:34:16 PM »
Hey yall! I've been a pellet smoker guy for the past 13 years and 2 weeks ago I decided to pick up a cheap roadside weber kettle for $30. I smoked a brisket on it and immediatly listed my pellet smoker on facebook market place. I have finally seen the light! Yesterday I picked up a 1995 Performer for $20 (score!) and am currently cleaning it up and "restoring" it. I will NEVER go back to pellet smoking!

Thanks for having me. I look forward to learning a ton from everyone here.

Welcome!  Webers are great but hang onto the pellet grill there is still good food to be had on it!

Welcome ! You will find through experience you can cook any style food on a kettle. Accessories can help but the simplest method is indirect cooking.
