A great grillfella reached out to me today asking for a custom sauce.  My wife makes a great sauce - me, not so much.  She makes this often, throwing in what she wants, and today was her first time documenting the ingredients.  She asked me what to call it, I said Kellee's awesome sauce.  She insisted on Bamakettles BBQ sauce.  It's vinegar forward, not sweet but really good IMO.

Here ya go....

Bamakettle's BBQ Sauce
1 c ketchup
1/2 c white vinegar
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp all purpose seasoning (I use Capt. Anderson's)
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
1/8 tsp chipotle chili powder

Blend all in a small sauce pot and bring to a boil then reduce to simmer, cover, let simmer for at least 30 minutes. The longer it simmers the richer the sauce will become.

Can add a little melted Kerry gold butter to the sauce for basting ribs.

To make this Keto friendly use sugar free ketchup and Swerve brown sugar.

Sounds great.  I really prefer a vinegar forward sauce over sweet.   I think it compliments and balances the richness of fattier spares and pork butt.

Thanks guys, this time she put up a jar or two for future cooks.  Did some ribs yesterday on the Summit for this week, may have to bust out a jar!
