Buckie I was told by the guys that is in charge of the raw material purchases for weber that they are pressed these days. Were spun back in the day.
Not everyone deserves to know the real you. Let them criticize who they think you are.

Are you referring to the symmetric "swirl" marks. I think the 2005 RK I got recently has the same effect on the bowl and lid. Will check it tomorrow. I noticed the finish was different than my performer and 26 kettle. Didn't think much about it at the time.

Yeah bbq this one has the "swirls". They were spun if they look like that.

Yeah the RK is spun. Remember that the press force goes up with the square of the radius so pressing the rk is extremely cost prohibitive at low quantities.

My 1987 26" flat top is a one touch. I guess the OT blades are different than a 22. i need to get those if still available.  8)

Wouldn't the sweeper blades from a new 26"er work with the old ones?
