Hi,
I found your group looking for info on my father in-law's 1985 portable gas post kettle.
Weber has no info, manual  or parts available any more.
Your catalog posts were helpful. Thank you!

I spoke with two different, charming, support ladies there, and were able to find your catalog but not much else.
Apparently they don't train them on stuff this old. She had never seen one before.
Anyway, if anyone has any info or parts sources please LMK.  :D

Serial no. G47489

Thank you.

Hello and welcome.  It's not often we see a complete gas kettle.  Thanks for sharing.

Sweet

I had one just like it.

I called it the "heavy metal" base. Yours with the lid standoffs pre-dates the later wired base models with the lid louvres.

And since you have a drip cup, I'd say your setup is probably complete.

Parts are nonexistent

I found what was marketed as a replacement burner for it, but the top wasn't flipped to work correctly with the deflector. It dropped right in and I used it anyway since my deflector was unusable as it was. Still have another somewhere.

Worked great as a wok burner for my 22" original Weber Wok. Even brought it up to one of the early get togethers in Napa

Also worked great for grilling like a hundred hotdogs at the park.

Welcome, from Elk Grove, CA.  Here is a later model gas kettle that Dazzo mentioned.

Thanks everyone.
This one spent much of it's life in Elk Grove too!

The bad news is my wife after all this has decided we need a different grill.
This may not be the right forum category for it, but please LMK if any of you might be interested to purchase it?

Thanks again,
Mark

It's ok. I was a gasser for 20+ years, before I went to the dark side, so I won't hold it against you 8) Welcome aboard from Missouri!
