So, quick question for the Independence Porcelain customers who got a yellow...does the yellow have the color change when it gets hot?

When they do the coating, can they fill in the little "cancer" chips I call them where previous coating has chipped off and leaving rust? The reason I ask is that I was just thinking this weekend of contacting them about my 12 year old 18" smokey mountain. It has some road rash from a pretty bad spill that it took while cooking in the parking lot of my old office. I'm thinking that a nice yellow or turquois WSM would look really cool. Maybe order a new current gen leg kit for it as well???

They remove all pervious enamel in a media blast. So if the grill has some thin spots from rust it may blast through.
But yea any chips will be gone since all enamel is stripped.

New one I saw in a Facebook group.   Not certain it's IPE but still cool.

I got a quote from him last year, but didn't pull the trigger for the price.  He told me that if the grill was brand new and didn't require sandblasting the surface a GA would be $200 plus shipping both ways.  A brand new 22" would be $350 plus shipping both ways.  Not cheap, but they sure do look nice.  These prices were just for exterior, no interior customization.
