Smoked pork and roast butternut squash soup
« on: November 06, 2021, 07:04:48 PM »
Continuing with enjoying some good, finally dry, fall weather while hopefully annoying the mistress of misery next door, the WSM got fired up first to smoke a boneless pork shoulder:

The performer got fired up to roast two squash:

The final results were some nice soup and impressive plates of food.  I took a picture of mine:

Two friends came for dinner which was the reason for the big cook today.  After we ate, we moved into the living room and shot the breeze by the fire as the temperature dropped outside once the sun set.

What a perfect meal for fall. I’ve made butternut squash soup hundreds of times at the restaurant. Never tried smoking it though. Yours looks smoky delicious! Pork looks great as well.

My kind of annoyance. [emoji39]
