Love gotcha days.....took a fall drive to western Tennessee this morning.  Original owner '69 Statesman.  Gave me some smoking chips to go along.  Has been in a barn for the last twenty years she said.

This was in Sardis, TN about halfway between here and Memphis which would have been a good ways out of the way down I believe.  Thank goodness for my phone because I was on the backside of nowhere!  Got it home safely and on the deck - been catawhampus for 53 years.  Lady said it's always been that way and she wondered where the 3rd wheel went lol.

I went ahead and made a day of it, couldn't wait to begin the clean up of my $25 find.  Bowl, lid and legs are done, triangle ash pan and wheels need a lot of love.  This will be my first metal wheel restoration.  Love the inner blue porcelain on these 69s.  Also scored a lime SJ today that was used only once.  You can spot it in one of the cleanup pics.
