It's good but my usual meddling mind is already concocting a way of fitting one of my old school handles which of course with the height difference means making my own lid bale assembly wish I could just leave things alone sometimes!

Oh that blue one though.... I'll bet that one hurt.  Making room for the ranch?

Honestly, may sound strange but the person I got the blue from and the state it was in has haunted it for me. The copper is lovely and probably the minutest kettle I've got but it's a little modern for me, now that I've got brownie it's not needed so much. Let's just say I've peaked for now at 32 webers, and I'm happy to see these 2 go to some good owners who will enjoy and use them, And made a tidy profit along the way. Yup, the ranch will be back soon, frames still getting done, then I'll bring it home!

What is the color name of the light blue (in the copper pic) for those into nascar, I like to call it Richard Petty blue  :)

Haunted kettle lol.... I remember when you picked it up and the shape it was in.  Looks great now!  There are a few different color names for these, Wedgewood Blue, Bluewave and Turquois - not sure which one this is.

Glad they're going to happy new owners!

Stunning!  Did you have IPE do that one, or is that somehow factory?  Need the story!

Haha, was just keeping you guessing!

My friend over here had it porcelain enamelled over in the Isle of Wight. Unlike you guys with IPE, Nobody else over here does it (believe me I've asked around). This was a one off job for my friend and they said never again, they only do "big jobs and it wasn't worth their time"

The flat top lid is E coded (1983) but the bowl is circa 2010. Story behind that is that he found the E code 26 on Facebook but the bowl was rotten, so a hybrid was born.

I know this term gets thrown around a lot- but it was "only cooked on once" since porcelain was done

Anyway, change of heart and downsizing meant he wanted it gone, how could i resist?

Here it is weirdly looking like an 18.5 lol (I promise it's a 26)

Cool story, I thought the bowl was new and haven't seen a lid like that since the 70s.  Very cool and quite a gem!!  Congratulations!
