Know tough to turn
« on: July 27, 2021, 05:31:51 PM »
Anyone know how I fix a knob that's tough to turn? I feel like I'm going to break something if I force it. O can usually wiggle back and forth and get it where I want to but something definitely is not right. I've tried penetraiting oil and it doesn't seem to help. Can the valve be taken apart to clean it?

Only had luck taking apart the control valve cleaning it out and relubbing it with HIGH HEAT lubricant. Not a fun process and riff with possible problems but when it won't move its either clean it out or replace it.

Weber uses ALOT of different valves (compared to their other parts) so take pictures of yours as you go so you can get it back right when you are done.
