Picked up 3CAB chuck eye steaks for $10 the other day at my local store and grilled them tonight ( pic was after I pulled the thinnest one ). Paired it with some cheese dip broccoli and  Cesar bag salad . Love great  cheap meals during the week . $15 in this meal tonight with enough leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

Looks grate!   Chuck eyes are one of my favorites.  Almost ribeye flavor at a quarter of the cost.

looks good, can't get that meal out at a restaurant for that money
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

we've been eating them for years . I can get Australian wagyu chuck eyes for the same price of  prime ribeye or the CAB even cheaper. Hopefully they stay unpopular so the price stays low.

chuck eyes are right next to the ribeye so the flavor and tenderness is very close but a lot cheaper. For the money value I think they are the best cut of beef you can get.

thanks and you're right. We went for the first time in years to a steak restaurant with friends. $120 for 2 dinners and the steak was lacking in flavor. I would've rather had these $10 steaks lol

Grilled chuck eye steaks look delicious.... you nailed that cook!

They are inexpensive and full of flavor. I purchase whole chuck rolls several times a year and cut chuck eye steaks and chuck roast. Trim is ground for chuck burgers or cubed for stew meat and chili.

What exactly is a chuck eye steak?

it comes from the chuck roll . Ribeyes are cut from the 6-12 rib section  , the chuck eyes come from the 5th rib section and has one of the tender muscles that a ribeye has. Some call it the poor mans ribeye. I can get them for $6-8lb vs 16.99-19.99 lb for ribeye.

Now that's the way to do it.

OK thank you for that info. I never see anything labeled chuck in my area. Mind you I can buy Canadian AAA grade ribeye for $9.98 CDN per lb.
