Indigo Kettle in Lititz, PA
« on: December 29, 2020, 02:08:09 PM »
I was out doing the tourist thing in Lancaster County when I saw Bomberger’s - a big shiny Ace store - and decided to stop. Well, they didn’t have much in the way of Kettle accessories, but they did have a color I’d never seen nor heard of on an OKP. Indications are that it’s an Ace-exclusive color. The picture doesn’t quite capture how it looked under fluorescent lights - when I first saw it, I thought it was Slate Blue. Anyway, I didn’t have room in the car to get it home, so if anybody is in Southeast Pennsylvania and wants to pick up an interesting color, it’s still there.

Apparently Ace used to have an exclusive Indigo Genesis, this link has a pic of the Genesis, but I haven't found anything so far about the kettle.

Yeah, the picture in the link is much closer to how the Kettle looked in the store.

Good finds, I'll certainly have to look closer at the kettles next time I visit my local Ace

I think for the John Deere I may have left my wife at Ace and taken the grill home. Lol 😂. PS don’t try it! They don’t like that.
Wife said "No more GRILLS in this house!" So I bought a 2nd house!

That John Deere kettle would be in my garage if it were John Deere green.

Ace now has a 'Blue' OKP listed on their site, that looks an awful lot like the Indigo that I spotted last month.
