Tri trip. Pintos. Skillet potatoes. 3 different cast iron pans

Cooked some bacon. Then roasted some jalapeños and serranos and added them to onions being cooked down in the bacon drippings.

Added all this into a dutch oven with quick soak pintos beans.

Cooked those for 5 hours.

Reverse seared the tri tip

Fried the potatoes.

Was glorious.  Only missing some cornbread

Nice! How does the enamel on the dutch oven hold up on the grill?

It turned black from the smoke. It’s blue. But it washed off easily and it looks as blue as it did before I put it on there. I’ll do it again instead of buying an $80 lodge DO.

Thank you. It was my first tri tip.

It was a fun meal. I started around 1130 with the bacon. And put the beans on around 1. Ate around 630. Lots of beer was had and watching football as well.

Thank you. Next time I’ll make cornbread also. That’s all it was missing I think.

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill
