The letters BBQ can mean different things to you depending on where your grew up, where you are standing or the terminology used by the majority of people around you after a given time.
BBQ: (N) A cooking unit that uses a source of fuel, generally used outside to prepare meats, vegetables and other items. Ex: Weber Kettle, Smokey Mountain, Go Anywhere, JJ, SJ.... I sure am proud of the 1972 BBQ that I restored.
BBQ: (V) The act of cooking on a unit that uses a source of fuel, generally outside that produces smoke and also provides searing action. Ex: I was finally able to BBQ last night due to the mild temps. Yes!
BBQ: (N) The food produced by grilling or smoking meats, generally on a grill in an outdoors environment. Ex: Pulled Pork BBQ.... That was the best bbq I've had in a long time. Awesome butt!
Too much time to think today while standing in line to vote and this came to mind.....Odd I know.
So on this election evening, I hope you are able to BBQ some tasty BBQ on your favorite BBQ.
