Leg extension mod
« on: September 30, 2020, 08:36:13 AM »
Did the leg extension mod described in Tom Horseman and Phil in Florence You Tube channels using standard electrical conduit pipe inserted inside existing legs. Nice tight fit. They did 6 inches which seemed excessive to me. I did 3.5 inches which I think brings me about to MT height. Pretty quick and easy mod I recommend to anyone annoyed by the low height of standard kettle.

Nice mod
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Looks nice. Did you notice it is a little more wobbly than normal?

Less wobbly, but you need to screw into existing hole in leg socket to make it less wobbly.  The conduit is real tight fit into leg, but not so tight into leg socket.  Screw is necessary.  The conduit surely does stiffen up the leg just due to its thickness though.

What are other options for legs other than stock Weber legs?
