hmm....I always though the pointy end of the rotisserie rod went into the motor.   :o

The pointy end does go into the motor... Euro roti kits do not have a handle on the spit rod... Ja we get dicked here... if you are dumb enough to put the square end in the motor you will be bitching about the slots in the spit not lining up with the ring.

Interesting.  My understanding is that vintage ones here did not have a handle on the pit rod end.  Maybe you are getting NOS  ;D

My oldest cooker just really finished it. Not quite sure about the red Wheels. The Texan sit outside for 25 years not being used until I picked it up free.

My 1964 red thumbscrew. It was my first vintage kettle in my collection (and second kettle overall). 
I get her hot often enough to keep her interested in me.
