So I know it’s been some time since I’ve posted any cooks... for this I apologize to my WKC friends.
Work is sporadic so been working on getting my garage organized and packing for our move up north. Not moving for a bit but moving all the shit we’ve acquired over our 25 years together.
So Illinois finally removed the great state of Wisconsin off the naughty list so I was able to go up north and do the lawn with my son and I taking turns.
Like I said I haven’t been able to get up north for some time so grocery shopping was in great need.
Shopping list...
1. Beer
2. Vodka
3. Juice
4. Meat
5. Snacks
So food up north is way over priced but to hell with it RIBS IT IS. left store $120.00 lighter but haven’t been up in a bit so no big deal.
We worked our butts off yesterday and so glade we did as it stormed all night long and into the morning until 11:30 am.
So onto the ribs. I started with 2 very nice Pork Loin Backribs @ $6.00 per lb.. I rubbed with a nice coating with EVOO then put “John Henry’s Old Stockyard Steak Seasoning” formally I believe known as “Old Stockyard Rub”. For sauce I used “Weber Original” and “Veteran's Bbq”. I used Weber charcoal, and apple tree wood from my Illinois neighbor that cut doub a perfectly good apple tree that I just can’t believe that son of a..... opps I digress. Doing a nice 321 method on the ribs and the kid can hardly wait. He even helped with the cook on and off.
This is what I have so far.
More pictures will follow once ribs are closer to being done but this is what I have...
