Other projects

So currently I'm working on a new restore/project.

Quick back story, my grandpa died at 93 last year. Since then I have owned his 1980 f150 ranger xlt thats sat at my grandmas. Last month I finally brought it home and started digging in. Its in amazing shape for being 40 and sitting outside in the elements for 40 years. The engine seized a few years back and my grandparents had it rebuilt. So 1980, body has 126k and the engine MAYBE now had 200 miles on it.

I'm in the process of "restoring" it. I use "" cuz im only replacing the radio with a vintage styled modern stereo. New door panels and dash pad. And will be making a custom seat cover and head liner to match.

My over all plan is to take it to car shows as a time capsule. I just bought a 1967 Coleman steel belted mini coloer that will match the color scheme of the truck. And im looking for other camp things from the 70s/80s that would compliment what I picture in my head. So for the car show part I wanna set it up like a diorama of the 1980s work truck/ camping truck look.

I went to an amc car show a long while.back where some people did the same thing and I thought it was a really creative way to display your car at a show.

Here's what I'm working with. Hopefully it turns out how I see it in my noggin

Very cool idea. Love the F-150s from that era. Good-looking truck!

cool truck. How about some strapped patio chairs and lawn darts? There's a salvage yard in Berkeley called Urban Ore where you'd be able to find a bunch of vintage goodies for cheap.
