Need an opinion...what is it and what is it worth?
« on: June 30, 2020, 03:47:55 PM »
Can anyone tell me what this is (model) and when these were built?

It looks good externally, trying to get more pics. There is a lift up table for the left not shown. Described as "awesome condition".

What should I ask regarding condition or function? Is there a serial model number on it?

It is a hike to get to for me, so I want to inquire and evaluate before I go.

I am a rookie, but I had a similar grill years ago and loved it and want one again.

Am I crazy to want one, should I stick with my 6 year old Spirit 200 that is falling apart?

He is asking $121.

Thanks in advance

Looks like it is missing the grease trap. You might ask if they have it but I would still say it's worth 120 and it would work circles around your spirit. If you have the deck space and time for the drive go for it!

He said it has the swing table. Will asked about the condition of the tray and trap already.

Is it easy enough to break down to fit in a medium SUV?

Thanks

+1 will definitely run circles around the spirit. I  have one just like it that I restored. As far as the missing drip pan goes I may have one in the shed if you need it. I'll have to do some digging.
The serial number is on the bottom side of the control panel.

The lid comes off by pulling 2 clips and removing the pins. Take the grates out and the flavorizer bars. Take the wood shelving out and it will be much more manageable. I prefer to transport vertically but they can be layed on there back.
I picked up a few in my Odyssey with just removing the lid.

The lid comes off with 2 pins like all of them, then if your seats roll down or come out you should be able to slide it right in. If needed I can get measurements off one I have that is similar.

Blankets or drop cloths also. They can be messy. Also inspect for bees or wasps. You don't want surprises on the way home.

That 3000 at least on the exterior appears to be in very good condition.
Interior replacement parts are cheap and you can have an all new grill on
the inside for about $100.  Run, don't walk to buy that one.

You are gonna have to fold your seats down , these gennies are about 4-5 feet long. I fit one in my old 2000 highlander with the back door shut
