Leg of lamb+
« on: June 21, 2020, 01:00:44 PM »
So I’m going to do a boneless leg of lamb, and two bacon wrapped pork loins. Fingers crossed...opened up the lamb meat and spread olive oil, with garlic, salt and pepper, some rosemary, and blackened seasoning. Then wrapped it up and spread the rest on the outside. Will add more pictures when done.

Ok so the pork loins where a hit. Used kinders salt pepper garlic blend from Costco. Everyone like them. The lamb...while it didn’t have that greasy after taste, it generally didn’t have much flavor period! It needed a little more time so I put it in the oven to finish. I pulled it off as recommended at 135 at the thinner part, 125 at thicker...just really bland. Looked good though, had Brussels sprouts and scalloped potatoes.

Just a follow up. So I stuck it in the oven and left it until well done. It now tastes fantastic. There is juiced from the meat, and the seasoning that if you dip the meat in it tastes very good. So, if I ever do lamb again, it will be well done and in a pan to hold all the juices.
