Meathead Goldwyn’s book is a good place to start.

The Meathead book is one of my favorite references also.
My mother in law never tells me in advance what I will be grilling for holidays at her house.
I have a kettle, charcoal and starting can there.
So I  pack a few good sharp knives, a thermapen and the Meathead book.

I think you can read most or all of the Meathead book online at amazingribs.com

Not a book but Malcom Reed’s How to BBQ Right website and YouTube channel is excellent and one I continue to use for ideas and techniques.

Also, the T-Roy cooks YouTube channel is good for techniques and recipes.

Both of these have over 500k subscribers.

Another YouTube channel devoted to cooking on Weber kettles is our very own Grill Therapy aka inkaddictedchef, Matt.

It sounds like you're UK based, I've always found this book really great, you can sometimes pick up the Kindle edition cheaply as well:

I strongly agree as i have many Weber Kindle/Regular Books bought off Amazon.com over these many years. Most of these books include many photos demonstrating the BBQ/Grilling process.

I have 3 or 4 of the weber books which were all gifts, but have found them to be really helpful with ideas and even more so with illustrated technique pages.
