A great steak marinade
« on: May 22, 2020, 05:29:13 PM »
So I had to come up with a marinade for an Aldi angus top sirloin(?).  Can't remember exactly what cut it was, but not top shelf.   This recipe worked great in a pinch...so good.  The sweetness worked so well with the spices and charcoal.  Highly recommend.

3/4 cup olive oil
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
8 cloves garlic minced
1 1/2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 Tablespoon salt
2 teaspoons black pepper
2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
2 sprigs fresh rosemary

Haha.  No pics. Wasn't expecting much from it and the cook was impromptu. Nonetheless, the steak was cooked over direct heat to medium rare.
