This snake is 2x2 with Weber coals and broken pieces of lump charcoal to fill the gaps in the briquettes to help keep the snake going. (a 1buckie tip)
Half way around the bowl will run 12hrs or longer. With the top vent wide open and bottom between ¼ and ½ will run around 250ish. I recommend marking the vent positions before using. Much easier to control the temperature when you know the actual vent position.

I also forgot to mention in my previous post that a snake for pork is supposed to run counterclockwise and beef is supposed to run clockwise according to Buckie. The picture I posted of that brisket the snake is going the wrong direction but somehow it still turned out good.

Congrats on your new 26'er!  I know this wasn't part of your original question, but other members have advised using fiber washers with the taco handle, especially with the 26's additional weight.

Sorry, I'm taco-free so unable to provide an answer as to size, but I'm hopeful someone more knowledgeable will chime in to help.

Here's a look how the 22 SNS 2.0 (no water reservoir) fits in the 26".

What are those extra baskets?   How many chimneys did this take?
