... did a bit of agenting today
« on: March 09, 2020, 10:20:27 PM »
Got a message on fb asking for an assist in securing a kettle... the past month and weekend in particular have busy, stressful, hectic to say the least and at first I steered him towards other locals as I didn't think I had the rush hour cross town drive in me, nor was it the time to dip out of the house and leave my recovering wife alone with the kids to chase another kettle... and not even for my own silly addiction or to add to the weber orphanage.
My wife, who knows things and can read me oh so well,  looked at me and said "another kettle"
"Yeah but not for me" I shot back.

Silence

"Go" she said, I lean and kiss her as I walk out... "bring me a milkshake when you c ol me home, what's for dinner?!? I know your gonna cook on that thing.

Here she is... 1962 wood dale mlh redhead and a simple sausage pepper and onion with rice cook.

Enjoy

Dinner looks really tasty.

How do you do the rice?  How is it seasoned?

Does develop socarrat on the bottom?

Grate assist and cook.   I can definitely relate to the “look” one gets when going after another kettle.

Please watch my YouTube video and subscribe, I have this and 30 plus other cooks up with more uploading weekly.

Yes the soccoat is formed... the veg is seasoned then rice is added and toasted, very similar to paella. Then I go in with stock and put the lid on direct over baskets, close bottom vents and check back in 20 to 25 minutes.
