One of my favorite things to do is to take my wifes best recipes and rework them to cook on the grill.
Sometimes I think it pisses her off a bit but I do it anyway.
This time it was her cheesy spaghetti casserole.
First twist. The 85% burger got the Italian Sausage treatment.
And fried with some onion.
Added some shrooms and olives.
Next twist was to use a jar of my home made spicy marinara sauce instead of cans of tomato sauce.
I adjusted the seasonings to suit my needs and simmered this for near an hour.
Brought out my bacon pan for the next step. The next twist. It's not cool to take her glass ware to the grill.
Layered the Spaghetti, sauce, and cheese in the CI and back to the grill for another 45 minutes or so.
Till it looked like this.
While the "casserole" rested in the house I toasted some buttered and salted bread.
And finall it's time to eat!
In my opinion it was better than my wifes version. But I'll never say that to her...
