Looks good. How is the McCormick in the salt department?

It’s pretty salty, but deliciously

Looks great!  Man I wish my local Costco had tri tip. You can’t get it where I’m at unless you go to a specialty butcher shop.

I always have trouble with seasonings that are chunky. Seems like they want to burn.

Agree with Dc_smoke309. Pics are beautiful. What did you shoot with?

Tri-tip is very hard to come by on the east coast.  My local Kroger’s had it twice a few years back and each time I scored several packages at 50% off.

The only thing I can figure is folks thought it was tongue and didn’t know what to do with it!

Anyways, haven’t seen it on the shelf since.

Looks amazing, reminds me of my Sizzler days.  We made everything out of tri tips!

Sizzler Steak House...My first job - did everything in that restaurant, learned how to cut steaks out of tri tips, bbq beef ribs, seafood, chicken, salad bar & ended up being a manager for a couple of years until I got tired of long hours and no money.  Got some good experience though!  Basically all of their sirloin steaks were cut from the tri tip then soaked in "Sizzler Flavor Enhancer" which was a clear liquid that came in a gallon jug.  Mix one part flavor enhancer to one part water and soak the steaks for 20 minutes before packing them for cooking.  It was basically salt water with MSG added.  Again I learned a lot, but I DO NOT miss it!
