Super bowl cooks
« on: February 01, 2020, 10:32:26 PM »
Asked my girls what they wanted for football dinner and I got "piggy shoulder". Ok pork butt it is. But I want to do something new. So I started with a 7lb bone in deboned and then cut it in half. So half is going to be done in a normal bbq pulled pork style and the other half has been sliced up and is currently marinating in a al pastor marinade my buddy put me on. Its gonna go on the rotisserie while the other half is smoked

What are you cooking?

Doing a bunch of wings . A whole chicken , ham . And I believe a few burgers that need to be done up. Supposed to be a tad warmer today where I’m at so that’s a plus!

My wife found a recipe for grilled wings with Alabama white sauce. So that's it for me.
Weather is a LOT warmer here. I wish I was cooking more stuff.
Hmm...Maybe I'll put some pecans in the smoker this afternoon...

cant go wrong with Alabama white sauce on chicken. It’s a staple here in Alabama.

Wagyu hamburger scotch eggs , wagyu armadillo eggs stuffed with cream cheese and peppers , and Malcom Reed’s cheesy  skillet jalapeño dip that I’m adding smoked chicken to.

I’m curious on how the scotch eggs will turn out. I’m shooting for runny yokes when finished. My plan is to soft boil the eggs for 5 minutes.

I'll be doing some Atomic Buffalo Turds and New York strip steaks later this afternoon. This Bears fan is pulling for the Chiefs today.

75F & Sunny in OK. Not typical....taking advantage of it.

7# pig shoulder on the kettle. First time using the kettle for a low, slow, & long.

Also got ribs going.......because there’s always room for ribs.
