Close enough
« on: November 17, 2019, 11:08:03 AM »
At the beginning of the year @jebiv gifted me a nice blue Bud light Carne asada. Was slightly out of round so i got it best i could but the hanging attachments wouldnt allow the lid to fit. So i reached out to the locals and was able to swing by @pbe gummi bear place and picked up an outrider. Got to work measuring like 12 times (still managed to be off by 1/4 inch) cant notice unless you are looking hard so its gonna have to be ok. Lol close enough. Another slight miss calculation was where i drilled for the rear lock. Whoops, but again, the sweeps can still be fully closed and opened. I think this carne should be dubbed "Close enough" at this point. I have 2 mini leg kits but i think this needs some peg legs for easy of disassembly.

Future add ons to come. This blue is by far my 18 work horse. The dings and chips just add to my love and appreciation for this guy

Also i have plans for the bail'less outrider just need to figure out some parts.

Thats awesome! You don't need something to replace the triangle? So the leg sockets don't get F'ed up?

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

The legs are short enough that it wont tweak the sockets. But this is just the traveler setup the daily set up is full legs and triangle
