Yosemite in the Fall
« on: November 06, 2019, 08:19:26 PM »
Just returned home from spending a few days in Yosemite.  My wife and I attended one of the Vintners Holidays at the Ahwahnee Hotel.  We were able to fit a hike in each day before the wine tasting seminars.  True, you won't see much in the way of waterfalls but the colors and reflections on the Merced River are amazing at this time of year.

Nature at it's finest, just plain beauty
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

On my bucket list!!!

It's one of those places that should be on everyone's bucket list. It's magical.  Just don't go during the summer.  To many people and the traffic is horrible inside the Yosemite Valley.  Fall, late October and early November are the least crowded. Spring time can also get really crowded due to the amount of folks wanting to see the waterfalls.  Whatever season you go, try to go on weekdays. Get out early to see the sights and hike the many trails.
