BBQ'n Poetry

        weber hibachi
thought it would be fun to try
        my hi-Q-bachi

Old Q200 with all the gas parts removed. Trimmed an old 18" grate.

Half a chimney of KBB.

They go right to the bottom of the grate.

Realized I didn't have the grease pan, so used an old 18" ash pan. Fits really nice.

Let's fire it up and try it out...

Moved food to the cool side to bake.

With the lid. Stole the highly accurate therm from the copper gold lid. Even with all the leaks it stayed at "oven" temp.

It actually worked pretty well. I liked it. And more room than the Lodge Sportsman.

For next time...
-Use less briquettes
-Try Weber briquettes - should need less and should burn hotter longer

Thanks for looking.

looks like it worked out grate, learned the same thing about to many briquettes earlier this week with the CGA
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Yeah, like you saw with your CGA (which looked good by the way), it’ll take me some learnin’ time, but I think I have a winner.
Dude, relax your chicken.
