Possible to change username?
« on: September 23, 2019, 08:04:39 AM »
When I signed up here I used the same username I use on all my other (mostly audio & music related) forums, but then TVWBB made me use something with a real name (I used KevinInStL for tvwbb). Which I then also used on BBQ-brethren.

Now I'd like them to all 3 of my BBQ forum usernames to be the same. This is the odd one out. Is it possible to change usernames here? Or open a new account and transfer my post history & subscriptions to the new account?

Thanks,
Kevin

I know when I was a admin on a forum about 12 - 15 years ago, it was possible to change a user's name.

I have wondered the same thing and have tried but don't see a way.

Maybe a admin can?

I made my account on lunch break at work thinking I could change my username later but haven't been able to.

I used 'Pancho' because earlier in the day I heard the classic song ~Pancho & Lefty~ with Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard[emoji16]

name changes are a case by case basis. it's not a super simple task.

if you're going to make the request, please include the details and reasoning.

no apologies needed good buddy!
I just want to clarify because there have been a few instances where I've spent nearly an hour dealing with meaningless name changes and even some "nevermind, change it back" nonsense.
