Drewski's Redhead 1997 Genesis 1000 Restoration
« on: August 15, 2019, 06:04:26 AM »
Just picked up this grill from the original owner yesterday for $100. He's kept it indoors, changed out the burners a year ago, came with extra grates, original owners manual and an extra igniter new in the box.  This thing is in great condition for being in South Louisiana it's whole life and I look forward to cleaning her up.  He seemed sad to let it go, but I told him I would send pics after she's complete.

She has some really good bones, you will have her looking new in no time. Then to figure out your first cook
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Awesome! Looking forward to seeing this restored!  I've got a redhead Genesis 1000 from @addicted-to-smoke that is on my project list.

I just got one of these, for 15 bucks. You can definitely see the difference in price if you look at mine lol. I put the lid over on my platinum, but I wanna use the side pieces and stainless handle. But they dont seem to be the same size

Thank you everyone! I told one of my partners at work that I picked it up and he told me that he had one in his garage that he would just give me to free up the space. So I also ended up with this and just need to figure out how to convert from natural to LP.

WOW!  Nice score.  Swap out the orifices, and add a regulator hose and you are in business.  Or post that
on Craigslist and make an easy $500.

I converted that exact S330 over the summer, orifice swap will not work.
The valves used are variable and you cannot do good flame control.
I bought an entire manifold off weber, ran me about 110 $ CAD and only swapped the side burner orifice.

Sold it off and made about 400$ profit (Monopoly Money)

It took me a while to get to this point, but having much more free time has helped. Now to start cleaning.
